Port District Authorizes Dolphins Berth

(photo from Black Dots /McKenna's Flikr photos. To view his other collection, click on this link.)

Rumor has it that the San Diego Maritime Museum will have a new arrival. The San Diego Port District has ok'd the Dolphin to be berthed somewhere on the Embarcadero. While the official date of arrival is not quite clear, the Museum is hoping that the Dolphin will be home just in time of the Tall Ships Festival (that would be sometime in August). Here's the link to the article in the San Diego Business Journal for more information.

G-Man,

I want to invite you over to our website SUBMARINEMUSEUMS.ORG with the hopes of you providing us with more info on the USS Dolphin (AGSS-555). With the high hopes she'll be a submarine museum soon in San Diego, I hope to be able to add her to our website soon.

Please come visit and register and post on our forum.

Thanks!

I am looking for a former crewmember from the dolphin. His name was Latiolais. Did you know him?
